This role is for a Housekeeper at The Blake at The Barclay located in Vero Beach, IL. As an integral part of the senior living community, the Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and sanitary conditions of the entire facility to ensure a comfortable environment for residents and staff. This includes cleaning resident rooms, clinical areas, offices, public spaces such as lounges and waiting areas, as well as corridors, elevators, and stairways. The position demands strict adherence to procedures regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with state regulations. Proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment, as well as safe transport of trash and hazardous waste, are essential responsibilities.

Job Duties

  • Assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner
  • perform routine cleaning of resident rooms, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways
  • utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure and state requirements
  • use and maintain equipment properly
  • transport trash and hazardous waste to the appropriate disposal area
  • replenish supplies as required
