The role of Tech for maintaining and upkeeping carpet and hard surface floors is vital within ABM’s janitorial and facility management teams. This position is ideal for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce, especially for those with limited previous experience or education. The role focuses on cleaning and maintaining buildings and facilities, following protocols for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. The technician is responsible for executing numerous janitorial and maintenance duties such as cleaning furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment, as well as handling interior glass, windows, blinds, trash removal, seasonal outdoor tasks, and restroom servicing.

Safety is paramount; the technician must comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards set forth by ABM, clients, and regulatory authorities.
