The position offered is for a reliable and experienced Technician specialized in the maintenance and upkeep of carpet and hard surface floors. This role is ideal for individuals either just entering the workforce or returning with limited prior experience and education, as on-the-job training is provided. The job offers an hourly pay range of $19.00 to $23.00, with actual compensation dependent on factors such as experience, skills, location, and market alignment. The work schedule is typically 32 to 40 hours per week, with shifts from Thursday through Sunday or Wednesday to Sunday, making it suitable for those seeking part-time or nearly full-time employment.
As a Tech in this role with ABM, the key responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of floor maintenance duties, cleaning various interior surfaces including carpet and hard floors, dusting furniture and fixtures, and managing minor repairs and safety compliance under the guidance of a manager. The role involves safe handling and use of chemical cleaners and powered equipment to ensure preservation of floors and fixtures, maintaining effective communication with supervisors and coworkers, and adhering to all company and regulatory safety and quality standards. Additional responsibilities include sanitation of food service areas, restroom servicing, trash removal, and seasonal maintenance duties such as snow removal or landscaping tasks.

Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments, including ten-year work history if available
- No experience required and on the job training provided
- No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
Job Qualifications
- Customer service experience preferred
- One year of similar work experience preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain effective communication
- Ability to comply with safety and quality standards
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use chemical cleaners safely
- Willingness to learn and follow company procedures
- Military experience a plus
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Notify manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and managers
- Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures
- Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment
- Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas
- Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Wash and replace blinds
- Gather and empty trash
- Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
- Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms
