The current opening at Baptist Health is for a Floor Care Technician, a vital role responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility. This position ensures that hard floors and carpets are cleaned and maintained consistently in line with organizational standards, which directly impacts patient, guest, and employee satisfaction. Duties include stripping and refinishing floors, disposing of bio-medical and hazardous waste safely and in compliance with regulations, and delivering exceptional service during all tasks. Employees in this role must be prepared to work in an environment exposed to hazardous materials and various infectious diseases, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols and a strong commitment to quality service. The role offers an estimated pay range of $16.00 to $19.49 per hour depending on experience and includes a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum two years floor care experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with continuous exposure to cleaning agents and dust

Job Duties
- Perform daily project assignments along with daily cleaning and maintenance of hard floor and carpets throughout the facility consistent with organization standards
- Strip and refinish floors
- Dispose of bio-medical and hazardous waste as regulated
- Deliver exceptional service to patients, guests and others
- Maintain safety protocols when exposed to hazardous materials and infectious diseases
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Communicate effectively in English while collaborating with team members
