The Floor Technician role at Aramark is a vital position responsible for ensuring the appearance, maintenance, and safety of flooring surfaces within assigned locations. This role involves the operation of industrial floor care equipment and various floor restoration techniques including hard floor care and carpet cleaning. The position requires adherence to safety, sanitation, and infection control standards along with a consistent customer-focused approach. The Floor Technician must maintain a positive and efficient customer service attitude while anticipating and responding to the needs of clients and coworkers. This role also mandates the proper handling and disposal of municipal solid waste, infectious, and pharmaceutical waste in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
- Knowledge of floor care equipment and its use
- Ability to read and write to facilitate communication
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
Job Duties
- Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers
- Anticipate and respond to customer needs
- Use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
- Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming
- Operate industrial floor care equipment as assigned according to schedule
- Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
- Properly process all municipal solid waste, infectious and pharmaceutical waste
- Remove trash, recyclables, soiled linen, used supplies and equipment from assigned work area
- Disinfect receptacles and carts as needed
- Follow all Aramark safety standards, sanitation, and infection control standards and procedures
- Adhere to all Aramark appearance standards and always wear required uniform and personal protective equipment while working
