The Floor Technician role at Aramark is integral to maintaining the quality and safety of the facilities in which the company operates. This position focuses on the upkeep, restoration, and proper maintenance of various floor surfaces using specialized industrial floor care equipment. The Floor Technician will perform essential cleaning and maintenance tasks on different floor types, including hard floors and carpets, employing techniques such as stripping and refinishing, burnishing, shampooing, damp surface cleaning, and spot cleaning. Additionally, the role involves ensuring that waste is handled properly, including municipal solid waste, infectious, and pharmaceutical waste, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role
- knowledge of floor care equipment and procedures
- ability to read and write for communication
- ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- physical capability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
- willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
- adherence to safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role and knowledge of floor care equipment and use is preferred
- must be able to read and write to facilitate proper communication with others
- must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations
Job Duties
- Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers
- anticipates and responds to customer needs
- uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
- uses the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming
- operates industrial floor care equipment as assigned and according to schedule
- performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
- properly processes all municipal solid waste, infectious, and pharmaceutical waste including rendering infectious waste as municipal solid waste
- removes trash, recyclables, soiled linen, used supplies, and equipment from assigned work area
- disinfects receptacles and carts as needed
- follows all Aramark safety standards, sanitation, and infection control standards and procedures
- adheres to all Aramark appearance standards and wears the required uniform and personal protective equipment while working
