The Floor Tech plays a critical role in this environment by performing thorough daily cleaning and maintenance of facility floors, which is essential to creating an attractive and hygienic setting. This position is responsible for sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents. The role contributes significantly to infection control and overall patient safety, requiring strict adherence to sanitation protocols and Life Care standards. The Floor Tech must be knowledgeable of and comply with healthcare regulations and facility policies, demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
This is a hands-on position that demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude towards patients, and the capacity to make independent decisions when necessary. They must understand and follow company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures, and maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information. Adherence to Life Care’s Code of Conduct is mandatory along with the completion of relevant compliance training.

Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Prior health care experience preferred
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary
- Knowledge of post-acute care facility regulations and guidelines
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, pushing, and bending
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Completion of mandatory compliance training
