We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Floor Tech to maintain and care for carpet and hard surface floors at our Wilmington, IL location. This role is a full-time, hourly position paying $17.50 per hour, with actual pay rates and offers tailored based on applicants’ experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. The shift schedule for this position is 6:30 pm to 5:00 am from Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Sunday, depending on the candidate’s availability.

As a Floor Tech at ABM, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized floor maintenance tasks using various cleaning techniques and specialized equipment. Your duties will include vacuuming, mopping, buffing, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to keep floors clean, safe, and visually appealing. Operating floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, carpet extractors, burnishers, and vacuums will be a key component of your daily work. You will also develop and follow floor care schedules to ensure that high traffic areas are prioritized and maintained to a high standard.

A vital part of this role is the safe application of floor care products and chemicals, adhering strictly to product guidelines to ensure safety for yourself and others. You will regularly inspect floors for wear, damage, or staining and perform spot treatments or repairs as necessary. Additionally, the position requires supporting event setup and breakdown by protecting floors and cleaning after events.
