The Technician role at ABM is designed for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and interested in maintaining and upkeeping carpet and hard surface floors. This position is ideal for individuals either newly entering the workforce or returning with limited prior experience or education, as on-the-job training is provided. The Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings and facilities by following established procedures to ensure the proper use of chemicals and equipment without causing damage to floors or fixtures. They maintain a safe and compliant environment by adhering to all company, client, and regulatory safety, security, quality, and compliance standards. Day-to-day duties include cleaning and dusting furniture, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment; moving furniture and equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning; cleaning glass surfaces such as windows, partitions, and mirrors; washing and replacing blinds; emptying trash receptacles; and performing seasonal tasks like sweeping walks, raking leaves, cutting grass, or snow removal. The Technician also services and supplies restrooms and ensures food areas are clean and properly maintained.
