The role available is for a Floor Technician, a key frontline position responsible for maintaining the quality and cleanliness of carpeted and hard surface floors at various client facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, including those with limited experience or education. The position offers an hourly pay rate of $20.55 and requires availability mainly for shifts between 8pm to 4:30am and 11am to 7:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Floor Tech will be entrusted with using cleaning equipment and chemicals to preserve floors and building surfaces, identify repair needs, and maintain safety and compliance standards. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- must meet all requirements for approval to work in specific ATS environments, including ten-year work history if applicable
- minimum 2 years experience cleaning carpet, tile, and wood floors
- ability to stand, walk, bend throughout shift and lift 25 to 50 lbs
- valid driver’s license
- preferred 1 year similar work experience
- some English language proficiency preferred
Job Qualifications
- No high school diploma or GED required
- must be 18 years or older
- minimum of 2 years utility experience cleaning carpets, tile, and wood flooring
- preferred use of equipment such as extractors, scrubbers, pressure washers, walk behind or ride-on equipment
- customer service experience preferred
- ability to understand basic English to communicate with management and follow instructions
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain buildings and facilities
- follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- notify manager of repair needs or additions to building systems
- establish and maintain effective communication with clients, coworkers, and management
- comply with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures
- clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment
- move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment manually or with hand trucks
