The Floor Supervisor has the critical responsibility of managing the front-of-the-house staff including servers, hostesses, and bussers. This role is designed for an experienced professional who can lead by example, providing strong supervision and guidance to ensure that employees are adequately trained, motivated, and performing their duties up to the restaurant's standards. In addition to managing the staff and customer interactions, the Floor Supervisor is responsible for various administrative tasks that support restaurant operations. These include running sales and credit card reports, managing cash outs and deposits, and updating menu and employee information in the restaurant's Micros system. The Floor Supervisor also assists with party and event planning when necessary, making this role both customer-facing and operational.
