The role of Floor Staff at Regal Cinemas is diverse and integral to the overall guest experience. Depending on the specific assignment, Floor Staff members may work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as Ushers, each carrying unique responsibilities. Box Office team members operate the point-of-sale system handling ticket sales, cash management, and promotional programs, while ensuring compliance with MPAA rating guidelines. They also promote enhanced viewing experiences such as 3D, RPX, and IMAX, as well as membership programs. Concession Staff members manage food and beverage sales, maintain inventory accuracy, and operate concession equipment, while strictly following food safety laws and alcohol service regulations where applicable. Ushers are responsible for ticket collection, crowd control, auditorium inspections, seating assistance, and maintaining cleanliness of the theater environment. All Floor Staff must complete the company's cast certification program and maintain relevant training, including alcohol service certification when required. Job Requirements

  • Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion
  • Required to complete any legally required state or local training and obtain certificate if duties include selling or serving alcohol
  • Complete Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University
  • Possess good public speaking listen effectively and respond clearly and directly
  • Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors
  • Identify problems gather relevant data recognize alternatives and reach conclusions based on evidence
  • Possess excellent communication skills with customers co workers and management
  • Ability to stand walk sit use hands to finger handle or feel reach with hands and arms talk or hear frequently
  • Ability to climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl occasionally
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
  • Visual ability including close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • Operating POS system including proper handling and responsibility for accuracy of cash drawer credit cards travelers checks gift cards and redeemed discount tickets passes and coupons
  • Up selling suggestive selling of premium viewing experience such as 3D RPX IMAX
  • Promoting the Regal Crown Club program and Unlimited Program
  • Ensuring tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy
  • Responding to phone calls and questions from guests in a manner consistent with guest service philosophy
  • Operating POS system including handling and responsibility for accuracy of cash drawer credit cards travelers checks gift cards and redeemed coupons as well as concession stock inventory
  • Operating preparing and cleaning all concession related equipment
  • Complying with all local state and federal food safety laws
  • Abiding by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods
  • Ensuring required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable
  • Tearing tickets collecting and depositing appropriate stub and directing patrons to auditoriums
  • Inspecting backpacks and packages when applicable
  • Managing crowd control and assisting guests in finding seats
  • Conducting in theater inspections to monitor picture and sound quality and help maintain a safe quality environment
  • Reporting to management any problems discrepancies or unusual situations
  • Performing in auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed
  • Cleaning auditoriums restrooms lobby hallways and other areas
  • Monitoring cleanliness and operation of theater vending equipment
  • Assisting with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management
