The Floor Manager role is pivotal in steering the front-of-house operations to meet these high standards. This role involves assisting the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant activities to maintain seamless service flow and resolve any issues that may arise. The Floor Manager will act as the direct point of contact for guest and staff interactions, serving as a role model who embodies the company’s Core Values and Leadership Principles in every aspect of the job. Responsibilities include handling guest concerns with tact and professionalism while ensuring swift resolution, maintaining a visible presence in the dining room to oversee service quality, coaching and managing employee performance, and ensuring operational tasks such as cash counting, nightly clean-up, and staff checkouts are conducted effectively. Additionally, the Floor Manager will oversee side work completion, dining room setup for upcoming shifts, tip matrix input, and safe reconciliation.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role or hourly position at a restaurant
- Ability to demonstrate and teach proper service protocols for servers, bussers, food runners, bartenders and hosts
- Knowledge of wines
- Knowledge of cocktail making and spirits
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage and resolve guest and staff issues promptly
- Proficiency in cash handling and closing procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to execute and demonstrate duties of servers, bussers, food runners, bartenders and hosts
- Experience excelling in an hourly restaurant role
- Knowledge of wines is beneficial
- Knowledge of cocktail making and spirits is beneficial
Job Duties
- Demonstrates and role-models the company’s Core Values and Leadership Principles
- Handles guest concerns, complaints, and needs according to Company guidelines
- Addresses guest and staff issues in the moment and sees to their proper resolution or involves appropriate supervisors
- Maintains a presence in the dining room and service
- Manages employee performance through coaching, recognition, and corrective action
- Reviews and enters daily Avero Logbook
- Performs all closing responsibilities
- Ensures accurate cash counting, checkouts, side work completion, setting of the dining room for next service, tip matrix input, safe reconciliation, and nightly drop
- Checks out hourly staff members
- reviews tip out and side work
- Ensures cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant
- Assists in maintaining par levels of linens
- Assists in organizing and moving beverage product in the absence of or in coordination with the Beverage Manager
- Takes responsibility for the management of front of house employees in the absence of or in conjunction with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager
- Attends and contributes to weekly manager meetings
- Makes recommendations to the Company on ways to improve as needed
