Job Description
The Floor Manager position is a vital role within a dynamic and customer-focused restaurant environment. This establishment prides itself on delivering exceptional dining experiences, combining quality food with outstanding service and a welcoming atmosphere. With a commitment to excellence, the restaurant fosters a culture that embraces teamwork, leadership, and continuous improvement, making it a preferred dining destination for guests and an excellent place for staff to grow and succeed.
As a Floor Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Restaurant Manager to ensure smooth operations on the restaurant floor. Your primary focus will be on maintaining positive guest and staff relations and ensuring the restaurant's closing procedures are conducted efficiently and accurately. This role requires a hands-on approach where you lead by example, demonstrate the company’s core values, and ensure that every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience.
This position demands a proactive individual who can skillfully manage the dining room while addressing guest needs and resolving any concerns promptly. You will take charge of employee performance through coaching, recognition, and corrective actions to maintain high service standards. Your presence in the dining room will be crucial for overseeing operations, safeguarding the restaurant’s reputation, and ensuring cleanliness and orderliness. Moreover, handling cash reconciliations, side work completion, and setting the dining room for upcoming services are part of your end-of-day responsibilities, making you an integral part of operational success.
The Floor Manager will also assist in organizing beverage products and maintaining par levels of supplies, acting as a link between front-of-house operations and beverage management. You will attend weekly manager meetings and contribute valuable ideas for continual improvement, reinforcing the restaurant’s commitment to quality and innovation. Your ability to step up as a leader in the absence of senior managers highlights your role as a key player in the management team.
Candidates should have a clear understanding and ability to perform all tasks typically assigned to servers, bussers, food runners, bartenders, and hosts. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least one year of experience in a similar role, preferably within a concept like Atlas or related hospitality settings. Knowledge of wines, cocktails, and spirits is highly beneficial, enabling you to contribute to the overall guest experience and support staff training in these areas.
Working as a Floor Manager in this restaurant means being at the forefront of an engaging and fast-paced environment that values leadership, operational expertise, and exceptional guest interaction. This is an excellent opportunity for hospitality professionals who are passionate about service excellence and eager to develop their management skills within a supportive and thriving restaurant setting.
