The role of Floor Manager is an essential leadership position within the restaurant, tasked with supporting the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations. This position involves a hands-on approach in managing staff and guest relations to ensure smooth and effective service delivery. The Floor Manager’s responsibilities include managing employee performance through coaching and corrective action, handling guest concerns promptly, and maintaining a visible managerial presence in the dining room to foster a welcoming atmosphere. The Floor Manager also plays a critical role in administrative duties such as reviewing daily logbooks, ensuring accurate cash handling, completing closing procedures, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant. Additionally, this role requires the management of front-of-house employees, especially during the absence of the higher management, and involves participating in weekly management meetings to contribute ideas for continuous improvement. This position demands a dynamic individual who can confidently execute duties typical of servers, bussers, bartenders, and hosts to provide proper training and uphold service standards. Knowledge in cocktails, spirits, and wines is considered a valuable asset, enhancing the ability to support the beverage management team and elevate guest experiences. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year of experience in restaurant or similar environment
- ability to execute duties of front-of-house roles
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to handle guest concerns effectively
- ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- knowledge of wine and cocktails preferred
Job Qualifications
- Ability to execute and demonstrate all duties of servers, bussers, food runners, bartenders and hosts
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of tenure or experience with atlas or similar concept excelling in an hourly role
- knowledge of wines is beneficial
- knowledge of cocktail making and spirits is beneficial
