The role at hand is for a Floor Care Technician within BayCare's FSED Lab at Brandon Regional Medical Center (BRMC) located in Lakeland, FL. This is a full-time position working the 11:00 pm to 7:30 am shift, including every other weekend, with no on-call responsibilities. The Floor Care Technician is a vital part of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment essential to patient care and operational excellence. The position involves performing detailed floor care and specialized cleaning tasks in both patient and non-patient areas following strict hospital standards, safety guidelines, and infection prevention protocols. The role requires prompt response to spills and environmental service needs, as well as assistance with moving and setting up furniture for patient care areas, meetings, and special events.
Additionally, the technician will be responsible for maintaining cleaning equipment, furniture, and supplies, ensuring they are ready for use and helping to support cost-effective operations through the proper handling and care of resources. This role contributes significantly to the comfort and safety of patients, visitors, and staff, highlighting the organization's commitment to high-quality environmental services as part of the overall patient experience.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 6 months of floor care experience required
- Ability to operate and maintain floor, carpet and upholstery cleaning equipment
- Ability to work night shifts including every other weekend
- Reliable transportation to Lakeland, FL location
- Ability to follow hospital safety and infection prevention guidelines
- Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 6 months of floor care experience required
- Ability to operate and maintain floor, carpet, and upholstery cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sanitary environments
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work night shifts including every other weekend

Job Duties
