This job opportunity is for the position of Service Technician within Greystar, offering an hourly wage range from $21.00 to $23.00. This role is full-time and involves performing essential technical and mechanical work to ensure that all buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the properties meet the company’s stringent standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. The responsibilities include completing work orders generated from resident service requests and preventative maintenance tasks by diagnosing defects and making repairs based on established policies and safety codes. The technician will also be responsible for managing the "make-ready" process for vacant apartment homes to prepare them for new leasing, which involves inspections, creating maintenance punch lists, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring completion and inspection of repair work.

Additional duties comprise inventory management, equipment and supply requisition, grounds maintenance, and supporting cost-control measures by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible. The role emphasizes safety compliance, requiring active participation in routine safety meetings and training related to OSHA and reporting incidents accurately. Technicians may be required to inspect contractor work quality and participate in routine property inspections to report maintenance and safety concerns.

Candidates for this position should be prepared for physical demands including standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working in all weather conditions. Ability to lift and maneuver weights up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance is expected, along with a flexible schedule including being on-call during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Licenses such as EPA certifications for refrigerant recycling (Type 1 and II or Universal), valid driver’s license for operating golf carts if required, and any certifications mandated by state or local jurisdictions are necessary.
