Job Description
Morgan Properties is a prominent national real estate investment and management company headquartered in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1985 by Mitchell Morgan, the company has grown steadily under the leadership of the next-generation executives Jonathan and Jason Morgan. Today, Morgan Properties owns and manages a multifamily portfolio with more than 400 apartment communities and over 110,000 units spanning 22 states across the U.S. This makes it one of the three largest multifamily property owners in the nation, and the market leader in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York. The company employs over 2,600 people and is well-known for its quick decision-making capabilities, strong capital relationships, and operational excellence. Morgan Properties emphasizes a culture of respect, accountability, teamwork, and continuous development, which fosters employee growth and career advancement opportunities.
The company is currently hiring for the position of Floating Service Technician at their 120-unit apartment community. This role is ideal for candidates seeking more than a typical maintenance job — it appeals to those who desire to be part of a supportive team atmosphere that recognizes the value of their skills and contributions. The Floating Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a variety of maintenance issues across multiple trades including HVAC, appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry. The technician will maintain both interior and exterior community standards in compliance with safety requirements, ensuring a high-quality living experience for residents.
This position demands a high level of ownership and professionalism, as the technician will respond promptly to service requests, communicate clearly with residents and office staff, and assist in upholding a positive community environment through exceptional workmanship and customer service. The role also includes supporting emergency maintenance needs and participating in an on-call rotation. Morgan Properties offers competitive compensation ranging from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, alongside a $1,200 sign-on bonus and a generous suite of benefits such as up to 50% rent discount, renewal commissions, quarterly bonuses, and paid on-call appreciation rates. Medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, and paid time off including holidays and sick leave are also included.
Ideal candidates should have one to three years of maintenance experience or an equivalent educational background, a valid driver's license with reliable transportation, and the ability to live within 30 minutes of the property. Preferred certifications include HVAC, EPA, or CFC credentials. Strong multitask troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused mindset, and excellent communication abilities are essential. Above all, Morgan Properties seeks dependable team players who take pride in their craftsmanship and are committed to ongoing learning and professional growth. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with required on-call participation for emergencies and weather events. Morgan Properties prioritizes investment in its employees, providing a career path that moves with you and rewards dedication with comprehensive incentives and a positive culture that values your impact every day.
