The role described is a crucial position within Greystar, focusing on maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall appeal of vacant apartment homes, leasing offices, and other property amenities. This position directly supports the leasing and management teams by ensuring that the physical environment is welcoming, market-ready, and fully operational to attract prospective residents and maintain resident satisfaction. The primary responsibilities include daily cleaning of leasing offices, clubhouses, common areas, restrooms, model units, and vacant apartments, as well as providing assistance in the make-ready process for units getting prepared for new tenants. Attention to detail is paramount, as the role involves freshening vacant units throughout the day to keep them market-ready, as well as monitoring for any hazards or safety concerns and reporting them to supervisors promptly. The position also involves inventory management for cleaning supplies to ensure that resources are available and maintained efficiently.

Physical demands for this role include the ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying objects, and crawling in confined spaces. The work environment is dynamic, requiring employees to perform duties both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. The ability to lift or maneuver objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance is required. Flexibility in the work schedule is essential, including availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as being on-call as needed. Travel may occasionally be necessary to support other properties or attend training and business meetings.

This is an hourly position with a wage range of $15.00 to $20.00 depending on factors such as experience, skills, business needs, and location. Employees in this role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses, with corporate positions offering quarterly or annual bonuses and onsite property positions qualifying for weekly, monthly, or quarterly bonuses.

Greystar offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, which includes competitive medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance coverage with low or free basic costs for employee-only medical plans. Vacation and paid time off are generous, starting with 15 vacation days, 4 personal days, 10 sick days, 11 paid holidays, and additional benefits like a birthday day off after one year. In addition, the company provides onsite housing discounts where available, a six-week paid sabbatical every 10 years of service, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, paid parental leave, fertility benefit reimbursements, and employee assistance programs. Additional voluntary benefits include critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, pet insurance, and legal plans, as well as charitable giving programs.

The role is essential for maintaining the high standards for which Greystar is known and ensures high-quality living spaces for residents while supporting the operational excellence and reputation of the company. Greystar is committed to diversity and inclusion and considers qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. The company maintains strict security protocols in its hiring process, ensuring that all communication is conducted through official channels.
