Job Description

Home Property, located at 7410 North Tryon Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, is a vibrant hospitality establishment that prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences. The company culture fosters a passion for service and a strong customer focus, making it a rewarding place to work for those who truly believe in their roles. Home Property is committed to excellence and innovation in property management, ensuring that each location operates smoothly and meets the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction. As a growing entity in the hospitality sector, the company offers opportunities for passionate professionals to grow their careers while contributing meaningfully to the hospitality experience.

The role of Floating General Manager at Home Property is pivotal in maintaining operational continuity and excellence across multiple properties within the assigned market. This position involves temporarily managing individual properties during times when the primary General Manager is unavailable, such as during off days or vacations. The Floating General Manager reports to the Regional Operations Manager and may be assigned short-term tasks that extend beyond traditional management duties. These tasks include local marketing initiatives, property staff training, and conducting quality assurance improvements to uphold and elevate service standards.

This role requires a versatile leader who can quickly adapt to differing property environments and operational challenges. The Floating General Manager is responsible for following the established General Manager Daily Flow, gaining expertise in the company’s computer operating systems, and assisting in recruitment and staff development. Driving sales through strategic sales calls and marketing activities is also a key component of the role, as is ensuring an excellent guest service experience.

In addition, the Floating General Manager actively identifies and manages repair and maintenance issues, monitors life and safety compliance, and promptly reports any safety, security, or policy violations to upper management. Guest concerns are to be addressed thoughtfully and promptly, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction and operational effectiveness. The role also involves market competitiveness monitoring and supporting financial performance by controlling costs and managing inventory efficiently.

Travel is an important aspect of this position, as the manager will spend significant time moving between properties and sometimes staying overnight to fulfill responsibilities effectively. The role demands strong communication skills, organizational capabilities, and the ability to handle stressful, multitasking environments with professionalism and sound judgment. A commitment to upholding the company's values and operational excellence ensures the Floating General Manager makes a meaningful impact on each property they oversee, strengthening the Home Property brand and guest loyalty.
