Job Description
Pack Brothers Hospitality is a well-regarded hospitality company known for its dedication to exceptional guest experiences across its various properties. Within its portfolio, two prominent venues stand out: Vintage Tavern and Smithfield Station. These establishments provide high-quality dining in vibrant, fast-paced environments and are celebrated for their commitment to top-notch service, community engagement, and operational excellence. Pack Brothers Hospitality fosters a workplace culture that values teamwork, leadership, and continuous improvement, creating rewarding career opportunities for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry.
The Floating Assistant Manager position is a pivotal role that straddles the operations of both Vintage Tavern and Smithfield Station. This dynamic role requires an individual who is hands-on and deeply service-driven, capable of supporting daily floor operations seamlessly across two high-volume venues. The Floating Assistant Manager will work closely with management and staff to maintain a smooth, consistent flow of service that upholds the company’s high standards for guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include supervising staff, handling cash transactions, executing shift duties efficiently, and ensuring overall cleanliness and operational standards. What sets this role apart is its requirement for strong leadership presence during shifts, along with the ability to adapt quickly to the differing demands of two busy environments. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing the rhythm of the service—from seating guests appropriately to pacing flow and coordinating communication between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
In addition to restaurant duties, this role may include some oversight of hotel and marina operations at Smithfield Station, adding a valuable layer of operational responsibility and variety to the daily activities. The Floating Assistant Manager will also be actively involved in fostering team performance, supporting accountability, and helping onboard and train new team members.
This position suits candidates who thrive in high-pressure settings, possess keen problem-solving skills, and have a dependable, flexible, and team-oriented attitude. The nature of the hospitality industry means the Floating Assistant Manager must be prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays. This flexibility, combined with leadership and organizational skills, will help ensure exceptional guest service and operational success. The company offers a collaborative work environment with a focus on growth and development within the hospitality sector. Pack Brothers Hospitality values employees who lead by example and are motivated to contribute positively to the guest experience and the wider community through their dedication and professionalism.
