Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- ability to travel between multiple locations
- corrected hearing and vision
- physical ability to perform duties requiring bending, lifting, and standing
- ability to handle stressful patient encounters
- willingness to comply with occupational safety protocols
- bilingual Spanish preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- basic life support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- bilingual Spanish preferred
- knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and procedures
- ability to manage patient interactions professionally
- familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- strong manual dexterity and physical stamina
Job Duties
- Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out processes
- perform visual testing
- conduct ocular coherence tomography (OCT)
- execute corneal topography
- operate IOL Master and Lenstar devices
- perform basic IOL calculations
- conduct pachymetry
- perform specular microscopy (ECC)
- take basic fundus photography
- capture external photography for ocular plastics and eye muscle documentation
- prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms
- ensure overall cleanliness of diagnostic rooms
- report equipment issues to Director
- comply with HIPAA regulations
- participate in continuing education and professional development
- perform other duties as assigned
