This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of multiple facility locations. As a Floating Day Porter, you will be tasked with traveling between various job sites based on daily requirements to provide essential cleaning and maintenance support. Your responsibilities will involve not only routine cleaning tasks but also detailed work such as flooring and emergency response within the facilities when needed.\n\nThe Floating Day Porter serves as the first point of contact for building occupants, providing excellent customer service while ensuring that all areas are kept in pristine condition. This position requires attention to detail, a proactive approach to addressing maintenance issues, and the ability to manage dispersed responsibilities efficiently. Duties include spot cleaning, securing designated areas, policing outdoor spaces like parking lots for debris, and aiding in weather-related maintenance such as salting or shoveling snow. The role also demands strong communication skills to relay cleaning issues and facility concerns to the management team for swift resolution.\n\nIdeal candidates will have prior custodial or flooring experience, a strong work ethic, dependable transportation, and superior attendance records. Physical stamina is necessary to perform tasks that involve walking, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods, as well as lifting and moving garbage and recycling materials.
