ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world’s largest providers of facility services and solutions, known for its commitment to creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments. Founded in 1909, ABM offers a wide array of services ranging from janitorial and engineering to energy management, electrical and lighting, HVAC, parking, landscape, and mission critical solutions. With over 100,000 team members across 350+ offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other locations, ABM serves more than 20,000 clients. These clients span a diverse set of industries including commercial office buildings, airports, universities, hospitals, manufacturing plants, data centers, distribution centers, and entertainment venues. The company prides itself on its tailored, forward-looking performance services which enhance and maintain the spaces that matter most to its customers. ABM is more than just a facility services provider – it is a driving force for sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence in the services sector.

The role available is for a supervisory cleaner position, offering an hourly wage of $23.00. This pay rate is determined based on several factors, including the applicant’s previous experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market alignment. ABM provides a comprehensive benefits package to all employees, details of which can be found on their official website. The position is responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to cleaning and maintaining an assigned area. As a supervisor, the individual will coordinate activities with tradespeople and other departments when projects require joint efforts. Evaluating the performance, activities, and resources of the assigned employees is a critical function, ensuring that all tasks are completed correctly and promptly.

Key responsibilities include screening new work, confirming its details, and deciding on the proper course of action. Scheduling and assigning active work orders, monitoring staffing needs, and managing backlog are essential to keeping operations running smoothly. The supervisor will also develop work plans and cost estimates by analyzing necessary tasks, required resources, and estimating labor, materials, tools, and equipment costs. They must track actual versus estimated costs to maintain budget compliance. All work-related materials and labor must be accurately entered into the work management system.

Additionally, the role entails enforcing departmental policies, procedures, and safety regulations to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Supervising and participating in the layout, design, and fabrication of signs is also part of the job, along with managing inventory by writing specifications, ordering supplies, and maintaining records of materials and equipment. ABM values diversity and inclusivity, providing reasonable accommodations to applicants with disabilities and actively supporting veterans seeking employment. The company is also committed to compliance with employment eligibility verification through participation in the E-Verify program.

This position is suited for candidates 18 years or older who meet the necessary requirements to work in specific ATS (Applicant Tracking System) environments if applicable. Preferred qualifications include customer service experience and at least one year of similar work history, highlighting the importance of interpersonal skills and familiarity with supervisory duties in related fields.
