Job Description

Clearview Cancer Institute is recognized as north Alabama's premier cancer treatment facility, boasting over three decades of experience in providing cutting-edge therapies and compassionate care to patients diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders. The institute operates as a comprehensive outpatient center that offers an extensive range of services and amenities, enabling patients to receive top-quality treatment without the need for hospitalization. Clearview Cancer Institute is deeply committed to advancing medical research, participating in Phase I-IV clinical trials to give patients access to potentially life-saving experimental treatments. This dedication to innovation and patient-centered care positions Clearview as a leader in oncology and hematology services in the region.

The Front Desk Receptionist role at Clearview Cancer Institute offers an exceptional opportunity to work within this dynamic environment dedicated to improving patient outcomes and supporting community oncologists. This entry-level position is vital in creating a welcoming and efficient entrance experience for all patients and guests visiting the facility. The receptionist serves as the first point of contact, providing critical information, managing patient check-ins, and directing individuals to appropriate departments. Beyond administrative tasks, the role requires comfortable interaction across various communication channels including telephone and in-person inquiries, ensuring seamless coordination among patients, clinic staff, physicians, and external partners such as hospitals.

Candidates for this position will engage in tasks that range from verifying patient records in the OncoEMR system, managing laboratory specimen documentation, to collecting insurance and copay information. The role demands strong organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills to thrive in a busy clinical setting while upholding privacy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Additionally, flexibility to support multiple Clearview locations and cover varying shifts demonstrates the institute's patient-first approach and its commitment to operational excellence. This position is well suited for individuals passionate about healthcare administration who desire to contribute meaningfully to cancer care services. Overall, this role offers a gateway to building a career in healthcare within a respected and forward-thinking cancer institute, equipped with thorough training and ongoing opportunities for professional growth.
