Job Requirements
- 21 years of age or older at time of application
- must be able to speak in a clear, concise, and organized manner loudly enough to be heard in an emergency
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
- ability to hear all types and ranges of sound
- ability to effectively communicate in high-stress situations including evacuations and medical emergencies
- professional appearance and grooming according to uniform guidelines
- tattoos not permitted on head, hands, or neck and must not be offensive
- no decorative covers or jewelry on teeth or in the mouth
- ability to operate electronic devices for tasks
- possession of a valid passport book or foreign passport with applicable visas and at least 18 months validity
- ability to travel without restrictions to United destinations
- physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects up to 250 lbs, push and pull beverage carts
- pass functional reach assessment
- ability to sit with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened
- ability to serve and sell food and beverages diligently
- legally authorized to work in the United States
- willingness to work flexible schedules in support of 24/7 operations
- ability to pass DOT drug screening, background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests
- must comply with FAA and United safety standards for hearing and vision
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- 2 or more years of college preferred
- at least one year of customer service experience in retail, hospitality, food service, teaching/education, aviation, or social service
- clear and organized communication skills
- fluent in English
- must be able to read and speak Italian fluently
- professional appearance and grooming
- proficiency with electronic devices
- valid passport with at least 18 months validity
- legally authorized to work in the United States
- willingness to work flexible schedules
- ability to meet Federal Aviation Administration hearing and vision standards
