Job Description

Located in Grandview, MO, our company is a leading manufacturer specialized in electronic assembly and production. We are committed to delivering high-quality products that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Our facility operates in a fast-paced environment on the shop floor, emphasizing efficiency, safety, and quality to maintain our industry standards. As an innovative and forward-thinking organization, we continually invest in new technologies and training to optimize production processes, improve product quality, and ensure customer satisfaction. Our culture fosters teamwork, professional growth, and a positive workplace atmosphere where every employee's contribution is valued.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Full-time Flexible Technician to join our team and report directly to the Assembly Supervisor. This role is a critical leadership position responsible for directing and supporting all production assembly classifications while actively participating in assembly work. The Flexible Technician will play an integral part in managing daily production schedules, ensuring that production quotas align with orders received from planners, and maintaining a minimal late list to avoid delays.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on knowledge and extensive experience in electronics assembly with the capability to calibrate meters using PC software. Responsibilities include assigning assemblers to various stations, overseeing set-up activities such as obtaining parts and assembly jigs, instructing assemblers on assembly techniques, and providing necessary tools. This role requires assisting in the successful implementation of new or updated products into the assembly line, supporting engineering prototyping, and producing custom samples for sales. The Flexible Technician also plays a vital role in quality control by inspecting assembled parts for compliance with quality standards and advising personnel on corrective actions when deviations occur.

Key operational tasks include advising planners on inventory levels to prevent material shortages, coordinating with the stock room for materials, notifying supervisors about part shortages, and expediting components as needed. The Flexible Technician will also prepare lead-time estimates and completion schedules for various assembly orders, enabling efficient labor planning and reassignment of resources across stations.

This position requires maintaining comprehensive production records, including timekeeping, attendance, and performance charts. The Flexible Technician will ensure a clean and organized assembly area, directing cleaning efforts and the proper return of unused parts to inventory. On occasion, assistance from maintenance may be requested, and operation of forklifts may be necessary. The role also demands maintaining a positive attitude, demonstrating human relations skills, and fostering respect among peers and subordinates.

We believe in transparent and equitable pay, offering a competitive salary in the range of $22.28 to $27.96 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position offers a rewarding career opportunity to contribute to a success-driven manufacturing environment where your efforts directly impact product quality and timely delivery. Our employment is at-will, with the flexibility to undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management, supporting continuous business growth and innovation. Join us to grow your career in a company that values excellence, integrity, and teamwork.
