The Target team located in Reno, Nevada, is expanding its food and beverage division, particularly the Starbucks segment, offering a flexible role for a Starbucks Barista. As a Starbucks Barista on our Team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering superior service and maintaining a consistent Starbucks experience inside our Target store. Your daily responsibilities will encompass crafting customized Starbucks beverages, managing food and beverage processes such as inventory replenishment and rotation, maintaining stringent food safety and cleanliness standards, and engaging authentically with guests to exceed their expectations. You will also support specialized services such as the Starbucks Drive Up for fulfilling digital orders, ensuring every guest receives prompt and accurate service. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to handle cash register operations accurately
- Ability to climb ladders safely
- Capability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently including lifting up to 44 pounds
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays with reliable attendance
- Ability to work in varying temperature environments ranging from 34°F to -10°F
- Ability to work in areas where common allergens are present
- Capability to remain mobile for entire scheduled shifts
- Compliance with all food safety and OSHA guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Ability to communicate using multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and technology equipment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve guest questions promptly
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Capacity to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Completion of required Starbucks quality control trainings
- Demonstrated ethical conduct, safety awareness, and compliance
Job Duties
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by connecting with guests and prioritizing their needs
- Uphold and maintain execution of Food and Beverage Standards and Starbucks brand standards
- Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, stocking, zoning, instocks, cleaning, signing, and backstock
- Support Starbucks Drive Up process ensuring digital order fulfillment is accurate and timely
- Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout the day
- Engage with guests to meet and exceed Starbucks standards
- Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items and complete cleaning tasks as outlined in best practices
