Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in relevant hospitality or event service roles preferred
- ability to work flexible hours varying by event schedule
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- physical ability to stand and move for extended periods
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to attend hiring event on June 2nd, 2026 at Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago Downtown/Loop
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in upscale events, hotels, private clubs, or premium VIP service preferred
- strong understanding of formal service expectations and guest etiquette
- 6 months of line/prep cook or banquet cook experience preferred
- prior bartending experience in high-end events, private clubs, or major venues
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- ability to stay composed and detail-oriented in high-pressure environments
Job Duties
- Deliver attentive, professional service at VIP and high-end events
- maintain a polished presence while anticipating guest needs
- follow formal service standards including tray service, table service, and proper guest etiquette
- coordinate with bartenders, runners, and event leadership to ensure seamless service
- maintain cleanliness and organization before, during, and after events
