This immediate full-time opportunity is for Class A CDL Truck Drivers, offering an average annual salary of $110,000. The position requires travel up to 100%, involving regional trips to various locations. The role is critical in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of parts and supplies to retail stores, supporting seamless supply chain operations. A hazmat endorsement is required for this position, reflecting the responsibilities associated with handling hazardous materials safely and in compliance with regulations.
Class A CDL Truck Drivers at Penske will operate late-model trucks maintained by Penske, designed with best-in-class specifications to ensure driver comfort and safety. These trucks are equipped with advanced safety features, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras, enhancing the security and accountability of every delivery. Drivers will be responsible for multi-stop deliveries, unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks and hand carts, and utilizing scanners to track products during unloading and delivery.
The schedule for this role varies based on work assignments, with dispatch times fluctuating accordingly. Drivers will travel to assigned locations and remain there for the duration of their work assignments. Job Requirements
- Hazmat endorsement required
- Ability to travel up to 100%
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs
- Ability to see and hear with specific vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to frequently enter and exit vehicle and rear cargo area
- Work in a constant state of alertness
- Ability to accept responsibility for own and others safety
- Ready to work at assigned locations and varying schedules
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold or ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency
- Ability to work required schedule and locations
- Complete Penske employment application and pass background and drug screening
- Ability to work safely and responsibly
- Physical capability to operate a motor vehicle and handle cargo
