The Flex Security Specialist role at Securitas, located in the Bellevue/Redmond area, offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about safety and customer service. This position is designed as a flexible, full-time role offering varied shifts including day (6am-2:45pm), swing (2pm-10:45pm), and graveyard (10pm-6:45am) shifts with eligibility to work 40+ hours weekly. The wage offered for this role is competitive at $28.90 per hour. In this role, you will be entrusted with critical security responsibilities such as conflict resolution, access control, comprehensive patrol duties across indoor and outdoor locations under varying conditions, and identifying safety hazards or suspicious activities. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work within a team environment to meet site and organizational goals while delivering excellent security and customer service.
This role requires a professional who is reliable, punctual, and accountable, with a strong commitment to Securitas’ core values. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- high school diploma, GED, or ability to complete GED within 6 months
- 2+ years of professional experience in customer service and security
- standard computer/technology skills
- customer service background preferred
- prior security, law enforcement, or military experience a plus
- must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner
- must have great attention to detail and remain alert throughout the shift
- must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and appropriate escalation
- willing to participate in pre-employment screening including drug screen and background investigation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of professional experience in customer service and security
- standard computer/technology skills
- ability to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner
- great attention to detail
- ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift
- ability to respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment and use appropriate escalation
- prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation
- perform access control at security entrances/exits
- conduct patrols inside/outside client premises in various weather conditions and terrains
- frequently interact with client employees and guests
- identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity
- provide detailed written reports
- work in a team environment to ensure site/organizational goals are achieved daily
- carry out specific tasks and duties as required for assigned site
