The organization invests significantly in the growth and development of its employees, offering clear pathways for career progression from entry-level security officer roles to leadership and management positions within the company.

The Flex Security Officer position based in Hillsboro, OR is a full-time role that offers an hourly wage of $22.00. This job requires flexibility in scheduling, as candidates must be available for a combination of shifts such as 1st and 2nd shifts, or 2nd and 3rd shifts, on any day of the week. The role also demands willingness to travel to multiple site locations, providing coverage and security services tailored to the needs of each assignment.

As a Flex Security Officer, the individual will play a critical role in maintaining safety and security at client premises. This involves performing access control duties such as monitoring entrances and exits, conducting patrols both inside and outside in varied weather conditions, and responding to incidents requiring de-escalation or conflict resolution. Frequent interaction with client employees and guests necessitates a professional and approachable demeanor along with strong communication skills. Officers will be vigilant in identifying safety hazards, suspicious activity, or any other security concerns, and are responsible for reporting these promptly to ensure swift action. They will also protect evidence and the scenes of incidents in case of emergencies or investigations, supporting the broader security infrastructure. Setting up barriers, signage, and providing direction or information to individuals on-site are additional duties that contribute to a safe and orderly environment.

Securitas offers comprehensive benefits that enhance the employee experience beyond the paycheck. Health benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), and disability insurance. Financial wellness is supported through 401(k) retirement saving options, alongside employee assistance programs aimed at enhancing overall wellbeing. Employees enjoy perks such as paid time off, paid training, free uniforms, and weekly pay, with additional conveniences including virtual medical appointments via telemedicine and the option for DailyPay access, facilitating early wage payments. Discounts on childcare, pet care, vehicles, electronics, cell phone plans, travel, and more demonstrate the company's commitment to supporting employees in various aspects of their lives.

Applicants must meet basic requirements to be eligible for this role, including being at least 18 years old, possessing a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and having a high school diploma or GED (or the ability to complete GED within six months). Strong computer and technology skills are needed to handle reporting and communication tasks effectively. A background in customer service is essential, reflecting the interactive nature of the work. Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military roles is an advantage but not mandatory, as Securitas provides training to equip individuals with the necessary skills. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, vigilance, attention to detail, and the ability to interact respectfully with diverse individuals. The hiring process includes a pre-employment screening with drug testing and background checks.
