Fleet Services Attendant

The Fleet Services Attendant role is integral to the smooth functioning of Tucson’s fleet operations. Reporting directly to the Fleet Service Supervisor, this position focuses on maintaining cleanliness and safety across fleet equipment shops, yard areas, and fuel islands. It involves hands-on tasks such as minor vehicle servicing, transporting light and heavy vehicles to various locations, and assisting with vehicle intake and disposal. Candidates will be responsible for detailed tasks like performing maintenance at fuel islands, including manual fuel tank measurements and proper disposal of hazardous materials, all in compliance with environmental regulations.

This job requires candidates to have a valid and unrestricted Arizona Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) and some experience in transporting heavy trucks and equipment is preferred. The role emphasizes environmental responsibility, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols. Candidates must pass several pre-employment physical requirements including basic and CDL physicals, a 50-pound lift test, and a NIDA drug test before final hiring.

The working environment for this position involves exposure to physical conditions such as dirt, grime, chemicals, loud noise, and unfavorable odors. Work hours may require flexibility including early morning and late evening shifts.
