The company's commitment to quality, integrity, and exceptional service has positioned it as one of the most trusted names in concrete supply. SRM Concrete's mission focuses on serving customers, communities, and employees with excellence, emphasizing a strong culture grounded in respect, teamwork, and a dedication to doing the right thing both on the job and in the community.

The role of a Fleet Mechanic at SRM Concrete is vital to the company’s operations, ensuring that the fleet of mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment are maintained in excellent working condition for safety and efficiency. Whether you are an experienced diesel mechanic or a newcomer eager to grow your skills in fleet maintenance, SRM Concrete offers necessary training and ongoing support to help you succeed. The position involves performing diagnostic work, repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections on diesel engines and heavy equipment, contributing directly to maximizing vehicle uptime and operational performance.

As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and conducting inspections to prevent issues before they arise. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems using advanced diagnostic tools. Major component repairs or replacements like engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions will also be part of your duties. Collaboration with operation teams to schedule maintenance work efficiently helps minimize downtime and keep projects on track. Safety compliance is paramount, requiring adherence to safety policies both in the workshop and on job sites.

SRM Concrete seeks dedicated individuals with keen problem-solving abilities and attention to detail who can work independently and collaboratively within teams. The company embraces candidates willing to work variable shifts and supports entry-level applicants by providing on-the-job training for those new to diesel mechanics or heavy equipment maintenance. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with vocational or technical certifications in diesel engine repair considered advantageous. A valid driver’s license is mandatory, with a commercial driver’s license preferred. Candidates must also be willing to complete pre-employment screenings required by SRM.
