Over the years, the company has expanded to more than 600 locations nationwide, driven by a strong commitment to quality, integrity, and exceptional service. SRM Concrete prioritizes serving its customers, communities, and team members with excellence, ensuring every load is delivered with care and professionalism. This dedication has positioned SRM as a trusted and respected name in the construction and building materials industry, known for reliability, consistency, and a focus on safety and teamwork.
As a Fleet Mechanic at SRM Concrete, you will play an essential role in maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles, including mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and more. This position emphasizes hands-on problem-solving and technical expertise in diesel engine repair and fleet maintenance. With a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment, SRM provides comprehensive training and support whether you are an experienced diesel mechanic or just starting your career in heavy equipment maintenance.
Your responsibilities as a Fleet Mechanic involve conducting routine inspections, performing timely maintenance, and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. You will use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot problems, rebuild critical engine components, and ensure that all vehicles operate efficiently and safely to meet operational schedules. Beyond technical skills, the role demands strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication with the operations team to minimize equipment downtime. Working at SRM means contributing to a company culture that values respect, hard work, and doing what is right both on the job and in the community.
This role offers variable shifts to support fleet operations, with a strong emphasis on safety standards and adherence to company protocols. SRM encourages entry-level candidates to apply, providing on-the-job training for those new to diesel mechanics or heavy equipment maintenance. A valid driver’s license is required, and having a CDL is preferred. The company also conducts pre-employment screenings to ensure a safe and reliable workforce.
Joining SRM Concrete as a Fleet Mechanic means becoming part of a growing company that offers competitive hourly pay, overtime eligibility, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, paid holidays, PTO, vacation, and a 401k plan with a weekly match. The company’s focus on growth and advancement presents real career opportunities for motivated individuals who want to build a rewarding career in the construction and heavy equipment maintenance industry.
SRM’s commitment to its employees is reflected in its supportive team culture, consistent local work routes, and the company’s policy of no Sunday work, allowing team members to maintain a healthy work-life balance. By working at SRM, you are more than just a mechanic—you are a valued contributor to the company’s mission of building America’s future with each job completed efficiently and safely.
