Established in 1999 with a modest beginning at a single plant in Smyrna, Tennessee, SRM Concrete has expanded impressively to operate over 600 locations nationwide. The company’s growth is grounded in a commitment to quality, integrity, and exceptional service. With a mission focused on serving customers, communities, and team members with excellence—every load, every day—SRM Concrete has successfully built a reputation as a reliable and innovative concrete supplier facilitating construction projects of all scales. The company prides itself on fostering a culture that values respect, hard work, teamwork, and accountability, making it a sought-after employer in the construction and transportation sectors.
SRM Concrete is currently seeking dedicated and skilled Fleet Mechanics to join its dynamic team. This role is essential in maintaining the fleet of mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment that are critical to SRM’s operations and project executions. Whether candidates are experienced diesel mechanics or newcomers eager to begin a career in fleet maintenance, SRM Concrete provides comprehensive training and continual support to ensure their success and growth within the company. The Fleet Mechanic role primarily centers on performing routine maintenance and advanced repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This responsibility involves diagnostic evaluations, fixing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and rebuilding or replacing major components such as engine heads and transmissions.
Working as a Fleet Mechanic at SRM Concrete means playing a vital part in supporting the entire operations team by scheduling and performing maintenance that minimizes downtime and keeps the fleet reliably on the road. Mechanics are expected to adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures both in the workshop and on job sites, reflecting the company’s commitment to safety and excellence. This role requires an ongoing learning mindset to stay current with the latest diesel engine technologies and repair techniques. Beyond technical skills, effective communication and collaboration with team members reflect the company’s team culture of respect and recognition. SRM Concrete offers competitive hourly pay with overtime, eligibility for bonuses, and annual raises, alongside exceptional benefits such as low-cost medical, dental, vision, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), and life insurance, paid holidays, paid time off (PTO), vacation, 401k retirement plans with matching contributions, and special family days.
In summary, joining SRM Concrete as a Fleet Mechanic not only provides a stable and rewarding career with growth opportunities but also embeds you in a company distinguished by integrity and a team-first approach. Employees become integral contributors to building America’s future by ensuring the vital fleet remains safe, reliable, and efficient, enabling outstanding service delivery on every project. If you have a passion for hands-on problem solving, love working with diesel engines and heavy equipment, and are committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards, SRM Concrete welcomes you to apply and be part of its expanding family.
