Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • willingness to work variable shifts as needed to support fleet operations
  • valid driver’s license required
  • CDL is preferred
  • willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings
  • entry-level candidates encouraged
  • ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
  • excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • commitment to safety standards and protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus
  • proven experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment technician is a plus
  • strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems is preferred
  • ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
  • willingness to learn new technologies
  • excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • commitment to safety standards and protocols

Job Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs
  • Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions
  • Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using company systems
  • Stay updated on the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning
