Job Requirements
- willingness to work variable shifts as needed to support fleet operations
- high school diploma or equivalent required
- vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus
- valid driver’s license required
- cdl is preferred
- willingness to complete srm’s pre-employment screenings
Job Qualifications
- entry-level candidates encouraged to apply with on-the-job training offered
- proven experience as a diesel mechanic fleet mechanic or heavy equipment technician is a plus
- strong understanding of diesel engines hydraulic systems and electrical systems is preferred
- ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment willingness to learn new technologies
- excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- commitment to safety standards and protocols
Job Duties
- perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment including oil changes lubrications and filter replacements
- diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks loaders dump trucks tankers and other heavy equipment
- use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs
- rebuild replace or repair major components such as engine heads blocks starters and transmissions
- collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs minimizing downtime
- ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites
- keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using company systems
- stay updated on the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning
