The Fleet Manager role at Bimbo Bakeries USA is an integral part of the operational team responsible for managing and overseeing the daily activities of specific garages within the Central US Region. This role involves direct management of staff, ensuring vehicle maintenance, safety compliance, and coordination of third-party vendors to support the efficient functioning of the fleet. The Fleet Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and reliable fleet of company-owned vehicles by implementing and enforcing fleet operational policies in line with local, state, and federal regulations. Efficient management of mechanics, both in terms of their daily activities and their skills development, is vital to ensure vehicles and equipment meet the highest standards of safety and reliability. This role also champions continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, service delivery, and operational processes with the goal of reducing waste and increasing profitability within the region.
