As a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic I at America's Service Line, LLC, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing the company's fleet of vehicles and equipment. This position involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs of tractors and trailers to guarantee reliable and safe transport operations. The role offers hands-on experience and training aimed at equipping you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in fleet maintenance. Training includes preventive trailer maintenance, tire repairs, minor tractor maintenance, understanding refrigeration units, and basic electrical systems. You will also be responsible for operating company vehicles within the terminal and performing miscellaneous duties to support the overall terminal operations. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be able to work in various work temperatures including warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or slippery surfaces
  • Must be able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations
  • High school diploma or GED achieved or in progress
  • Seeking or achieved a driver’s license
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Must provide own hand tools
  • Ability to operate all shop equipment and company vehicles
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • High school diploma or GED achieved or in progress
  • Seeking or achieved a driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of Paccar system preferred
  • Class A CDL preferred

Job Duties

  • Conduct routine trailer inspections that arrive at the inspection bay
  • Perform monthly tractor inspections
  • Train on preventive maintenance on trailers
  • Train on tire repairs and achieve certification
  • Train on minor preventive maintenance on tractors
  • Train to understand basics of a refrigeration unit
  • Train to understand basic electrical systems on equipment
  • Operate company vehicles at terminal only
  • Work efficiently, timely, safely, and professionally in compliance with company policies and governmental regulations
  • Perform miscellaneous duties including building maintenance, snow removal, and yard maintenance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to meet organizational needs
