Guardian Flight is currently hiring a Fixed Wing Pilot for its Reno, NV location to operate the Pilatus PC12 aircraft. This role is designed with a unique 14 days on and 14 days off schedule, offering an excellent work-life balance and enabling pilots to maintain peak performance on the job. The annual salary range for this position is competitive, from $102,191.04 to $112,519.05, alongside significant incentives that include a $15,000 sign-on bonus upon successful completion of training and check ride, a $40,000 retention bonus under a three-year program, paid crew housing, and up to $3,000 in relocation assistance without any training contract obligations.
As a Fixed Wing Pilot at Guardian Flight, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of flying medical air transport missions involving the Pilatus PC12 aircraft. You will collaborate closely with a team of medical professionals to safely and efficiently transport patients between locations and medical facilities. The role requires a strong emphasis on safety, with pilots expected to uphold the highest standards in operational protocols, aircraft readiness, and regulatory compliance. This position demands keen attention to detail as you will be responsible not only for flying but also for maintaining accurate documentation and communication with both air and ground operations to ensure seamless mission execution.
The pilot’s daily duties will encompass preparing the aircraft for flight by adhering to FAR and company standards, ensuring cleanliness and operational readiness. You will be involved in detailed record-keeping for shifts, load manifests, and other critical flight-related documentation. Effective communication is paramount in this role, facilitating coordination between dispatch teams, flight crews, medical personnel, and partner facilities. You must be committed to continuous learning and certification maintenance, including ongoing ground and air training, and remain punctual, professional, and reliable throughout your duties.

Job Requirements
- Required to work in outside weather conditions
- must be able to work night, day, and overnight shifts as assigned
- may need to de-ice the plane, assist with towing the aircraft and maneuvering in and out of the hangar, prep the plane for flight
- must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, balance, sit, crouch, kneel, or crawl unassisted for extended periods of time
- may assist with loading patients, lift and/or move up to 150 pounds cumulative with assistance
- specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
