This role of Fitter/Welder is pivotal to the manufacturing, repair, and installation of cranes and lifting equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding structural steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all work meets high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. The position requires a strong foundation in structural steel fabrication and industrial welding, with at least three years of practical experience preferred. They will also inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality and accuracy, assist with assembly and testing of crane components, and perform necessary repairs or modifications. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel fabrication, fitting, or industrial welding preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
  • Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding techniques
  • Experience with operating fabrication equipment
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Assist with the assembly and testing of fabricated crane components
  • Perform repairs and modifications to existing equipment as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety standards
  • Collaborate with shop personnel, engineers, and supervisors to complete projects on schedule
