Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work early mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to concentrate, take initiative, cope with stress and adapt in a business environment
  • Ability to speak, hear, see, and walk more than 2 miles daily
  • Ability to stand and sit on the floor
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service
  • Energetic and enthusiastic with strong team player skills
  • Proficient with computers or quick learner
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • High school diploma preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile and conversation to foster community
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist members and guests with inquiries
  • Ensure facility access is restricted to active members and approved guests
  • Handle cash efficiently and accurately
  • Offer to make reservations, find directions, and provide other helpful services
  • Use time efficiently by checking equipment, locker rooms, and inventory during shifts
  • Ensure proper coverage when leaving the reception area
  • Communicate pertinent information to co-workers at shift's end and maintain staff communication book
  • Inform facility manager of any member, guest, or facility issues
  • Enroll members and guests in programs
  • Assist with lifting and storing facility equipment and preparing for special events
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
