Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Ability to follow HACCP procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to use standard cooking and measuring equipment safely
  • Food Safety Certification obtained within six months of employment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, certificate, GED, training or experience required
  • Knowledge in principles of sanitation and safety in food handling and equipment
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • One year of trade school or vocational schooling preferred
  • Food Safety Certification required within six months of hire

Job Duties

  • Oversee and support preparation and production of food for patient and guest meals
  • Ensure department goals and objectives are met
  • Follow standardized recipes, daily production charts, and instructions
  • Ensure food is produced according to requirements of quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and timeliness
  • Follow HACCP procedures
  • Use standard food preparation equipment, utensils, and measuring devices appropriately
