The Food Service Supervisor role at Baptist Health is essential in supporting the preparation and production of patient and guest meals that meet the organization's high standards for quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and timeliness. This position involves overseeing daily food production processes, ensuring adherence to standardized recipes, daily production charts, and food service requirements. The supervisor follows HACCP procedures and utilizes standard food preparation equipment, utensils, and measuring devices appropriately. The role is responsible for aligning the kitchen operations with the health system’s mission of medical excellence and compassionate care, which means maintaining hygiene and safety standards to protect patients' health.

The standard pay range for this role is between $18.30 and $18.32 per hour, dependent on experience. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years experience in food preparation or related field
- food safety certification required within 6 months of hire
- ability to follow standardized recipes and procedures
- strong communication skills
- knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, certificate, GED, training or experience required
- knowledge in principles of sanitation and safety in food handling and equipment
- proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 1 year of trade school or vocational schooling preferred
- food safety certification required within 6 months of hire
Job Duties
- Oversee and support the preparation and production of food for patient and guest meals
- ensure department goals and objectives are met
