Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years experience in food preparation or related field
  • food safety certification required within 6 months of hire
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and procedures
  • strong communication skills
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, certificate, GED, training or experience required
  • knowledge in principles of sanitation and safety in food handling and equipment
  • proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 1 year of trade school or vocational schooling preferred
  • food safety certification required within 6 months of hire

Job Duties

  • Oversee and support the preparation and production of food for patient and guest meals
  • ensure department goals and objectives are met
  • follow standardized recipes, daily production charts, and instructions
  • ensure food is produced according to food service requirements of quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and timeliness
  • follow HACCP procedures
  • use standard food preparation equipment, utensils, and measuring devices appropriately
