Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years food preparation experience in a restaurant or food service capacity including one year supervisory experience
- Must successfully complete the New Mexico Food Handlers course
- Must pass a stringent background investigation
- Will require pre-employment and random drug screening

Job Duties
- Assist the sous chef in leading the culinary team
- Oversee the day to day operations of the kitchen
- Provide mentorship and training to junior chefs
- Collaborate with sous chef to create and refine seasonal menus
- Ensure high quality food presentation and flavor profiles
- Perform regular tasting and oversee quality control
- Manage ordering, inventory, and waste control
- Work with front of house team for seamless dining experience
- Maintain sanitary, safe, and productive kitchen environment
- Ensure adherence to recipes and timely food preparation
- Oversee food preparation consistency, quality, and standards
- Foster cooperation between kitchen and service staff
- Assign daily cleaning tasks and maintain clean workstations
- Advise on equipment repairs and monitor completion
- Ensure temperature compliance and accurate logs
- Maintain high standards of personal sanitation
- Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
- Responsible for kitchen opening and closing
- Enforce food safety handling and glove use
- Control food production to minimize waste
