Job Requirements
- Minimum six months cook experience in a restaurant, hospital or institutional food service using standard food service equipment
- Must be able to grill, fry, roast and bake as needed to prepare standard menu items
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English
- High school diploma or GED and or equivalent experience
- Availability to work an on-call schedule with variable days and hours
- Must be available to work alternating weekends

- Ability to grill, fry, roast, and bake as needed to prepare standard menu items
- Knowledge of hospital food service operations preferred
- Culinary arts degree or AA in institutional food preparation preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare conventional and convenience type foods according to production sheets and standing orders
- Use standard food service equipment including grill, oven, and fryer to prepare menu items
- Maintain sanitation of food service work areas and patient care stations
- Replenish food items as needed for tray line, cafeteria, and catering services
- Follow department safety and sanitation policies strictly
- Clean and sanitize cooking utensils and dispose of waste properly
- Requisition or procure food supplies according to established guidelines
