Job Description
Hyatt Place, a new kind of Hyatt where the style is relaxed, and the standards are exceptional, is seeking a First Assistant Manager to contribute to the hotel's commitment to high-quality guest service and teamwork. This position plays a crucial role in managing the housekeeping, front office, and food and beverage departments to ensure outstanding customer service and guest suite cleanliness. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the First Assistant Manager oversees daily hotel operations to achieve operational goals while upholding company standards for guest and associate satisfaction, quality assurance, and asset protection. Responsibilities may also include purchasing and payroll duties as well as involvement in the hiring and disciplinary processes. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of management experience, demonstrate strong leadership skills, maintain a professional image, and be willing to work flexible hours in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of three years of management and supervisory experience preferred (service industry management experience strongly preferred)
- hotel experience preferred
- 1-2+ years of experience in a guest service-oriented Food & Beverage establishment preferred
- college degree preferred
- intermediate proficiency in Word and Excel required
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong organizational, project management, and detail orientation skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
- bilingual in Spanish a plus
- ability to work with minimal supervision required
