The Johnson Controls Fire Service Sales Manager is a pivotal leadership role within the Dallas/Irving area field offices. This position drives sales growth by expanding customer relationships, increasing wallet share among existing clients, and growing new business within the fire alarm, security, fire sprinkler, and fire suppression sectors. The Sales Manager leads the service sales team, overseeing daily operations to ensure the achievement of sales targets and customer satisfaction. A strong emphasis is placed on developing and maintaining recurring service revenues, mentoring sales teams, and collaborating with area sales and general managers to formulate effective sales strategies and pricing models. - BA degree in marketing preferred
- Five or more years experience in the fire safety industry preferred
- Five or more years in a leadership role preferred
Job Duties
- Model and champion Johnson Controls values
- Create a safe environment for discussion and resolution of value-related issues
- Responsible for achieving the sales plan for the assigned geographic area across fire alarm, security, fire sprinkler, and fire suppression businesses
- Manage day-to-day activities of the service sales team to meet or exceed customer, employee, and sales goals
- Partner with Area Sales and General Managers to develop sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and execute pricing strategies
- Review and monitor sales performance, refine sales strategies, and reallocate resources to achieve goals
- Contribute to marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies
- Provide coaching and training on product technicalities, marketing campaigns, sales promotions, and sales techniques
- Build, hire, develop, and align a high-performing team
- Focus on high-level customer networking and collaboration to drive growth and customer success
- Grow and retain recurring revenue by coaching and mentoring the Service Sales and Customer Care sales teams
- Collaborate with national service and solutions sales leaders to leverage best practices
- Support Area General and Sales Managers in high volume sales activities
- Develop business plans including sales staffing, market assignments, customer development, and industry relations
- Meet with key clients to assist in relationship building, negotiation, and deal closure
- Ensure execution of corporate sales philosophy, contractual terms, and pricing practices
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
