Job Requirements
- College degree in business or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience
- At least 3 years in field sales management
- Experience managing high volume transaction sales teams

Job Qualifications
- College degree in business or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience including 3 years of field sales management in business-to-business environment
- Demonstrated skills managing a high volume transaction sales team
- Comfortable leading and working in teams with project management experience
- Ability to create and develop customer solutions while meeting objectives
- Committed to developing and organizing a multi-talented team
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent communication and team-building skills with understanding of inter-departmental relations
- Proven time management, prioritization, and delivery against deadlines
- Experience managing teams through transition or significant organizational change
- BA degree in marketing preferred
- Five or more years experience in the fire safety industry preferred
- Five or more years in a leadership role preferred
Job Duties
- Model and champion Johnson Controls values
- Create a safe environment for discussion and resolution of value-related issues
- Responsible for achieving the sales plan for the assigned geographic area across fire alarm, security, fire sprinkler, and fire suppression businesses
- Manage day-to-day activities of the service sales team to meet or exceed customer, employee, and sales goals
- Partner with Area Sales and General Managers to develop sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and execute pricing strategies
- Review and monitor sales performance, refine sales strategies, and reallocate resources to achieve goals
- Contribute to marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies
- Provide coaching and training on product technicalities, marketing campaigns, sales promotions, and sales techniques
- Build, hire, develop, and align a high-performing team
- Focus on high-level customer networking and collaboration to drive growth and customer success
- Grow and retain recurring revenue by coaching and mentoring the Service Sales and Customer Care sales teams
- Collaborate with national service and solutions sales leaders to leverage best practices
- Support Area General and Sales Managers in high volume sales activities
- Develop business plans including sales staffing, market assignments, customer development, and industry relations
- Meet with key clients to assist in relationship building, negotiation, and deal closure
- Ensure execution of corporate sales philosophy, contractual terms, and pricing practices
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
