Currently, Cafe Europa is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and creative sales professional to join their dynamic and growth-oriented team. This position is focused on the Western Massachusetts territory, which includes the Berkshires, an area with an already well-established customer base and significant potential for further development. The role involves servicing and expanding sales within existing retail and restaurant accounts while actively identifying and opening new accounts both on- and off-premise. Candidates must bring at least two years of outside sales experience in the wine industry, showcasing their ability to manage a territory independently and effectively grow business opportunities. The sales professional will collaborate closely with suppliers to conduct staff training sessions, organize wine dinners, and lead wine tastings during evenings and weekends. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships is essential, as is the ability to employ creative sales techniques and excellent communication skills. A passion for wine and comprehensive wine knowledge are fundamental to success in this role.
Cafe Europa values candidates who are highly motivated self-starters capable of managing their time efficiently while balancing servicing current accounts and developing new ones. Teamwork and collaboration with other sales personnel and management are also important components of the job. Additional benefits of the position include a guaranteed salary for the first six months, an above-average commission structure thereafter, a car allowance, numerous bonuses, and comprehensive health insurance benefits. Candidates must be US citizens and residents of Massachusetts, living within or near the assigned territory, and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and flexibility to work some nights and weekends are also required.
